AMC announced their anticipated 2014 programming premiere dates for Mad Men and Better Call Saul at the Television Critics Association 2014 Winter Press Tour, as well as new series Turn and Halt and Catch Fire. Leading the AMC 2014 programming lineup are several new dramas including Turn, a Revolutionary spy thriller about the untold story of America’s first spy ring. Turn will begin Sunday, April 6 at 9pm with a 90-minute series premiere. The series stars Jamie Bell in the title role as Abraham Woodhull and Seth Numrich as Ben Talmadge (pictured).
The seventh and final season of Mad Men will return Sunday, April 13 at 10pm ET, and will be split into two parts, as they did Breaking Bad.
In June, AMC introduces Halt and Fire, which looks like a cut-throat drama about the rise of the PC era in the early 1980s, following three characters – a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy – who take staggering personal and professional risks in the race to build a computer.
The highly anticipated Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul will premiere in November. Better Call Saul focuses on the Saul Goodman character before he became Walter White’s lawyer.
Later in the summer, the fourth season of Hell on Wheels returns. The series will move to Saturday nights.
Other series returns include:
The Walking Dead, Season 4 midseason series premiere on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 9pm
Talking Dead to return also on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 10pm
Small Town Security, Season 3, will premiere in May.
Freakshow, Season 2, will premiere in May
The Walking Dead, Season 5 premiere will be October
Talking Dead has also been renewed for another season.
