Panda Express, the American-Chinese fast food chain, vows to deliver an “exceptional Asian dining experience” to its diners. But what do Asians really think about the food offerings at Panda Express?
BuzzFeed recently invited a group of intrepid Chinese diners to try Panda Express dishes for the first time ever.
Their reaction? Decidedly, and perhaps surprisingly, mixed.
“Wow! This smells like a candle,” declared one young woman about a fried egg roll.
“Good job,” said one Chinese grandpa after sampling a plate of the restaurant’s chow mein. His granddaughter added that the noodle dish tasted “pretty authentic.”
Ultimately, Panda Express' dishes appear to have won the hearts of some, while totally repulsing others, proving once more that when it comes to food, everybody has different tastes.
