“Guardians of the Galaxy” to be an animated series on Disney XD

Following the hugely successful Guardians of the Galaxy feature film this past summer, the popular heroes from the Marvel Comics franchise will be coming to TV in animated form, Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s head of television, announced today at New York Comic-Con. The Marvel Animation series has begun production, and will feature characters Peter Quill (Star-Lord), Rocket Raccoon, Gamora, Drax and, of course, Groot.
