At nearly 27 years old, actor Michael B. Jordan has accomplished a lot. He's appeared on acclaimed television shows like "The Wire" and "Friday Night Lights," he's transitioned to the silver screen in films such as "Fruitvale Station" and "That Awkward Moment" and he's won several industry awards for his performances. But there's one thing he still hasn't done: had a serious girlfriend.
When Jordan sat down with Oprah to discuss his acting career, the conversation took a personal turn when Oprah asked how his Hollywood success has impacted his love life.
"Um, I, I've, I've done pretty well in the female department growing up," Jordan stammers, smiling. "[But] it definitely magnified it. It opened up a range..."
After some light teasing from Oprah, Jordan playfully clears his throat and gets serious.
"It's crazy. I've never had a girlfriend, for the most part," he admits. "I've had girls that I've dated, that I've had deep feelings for over the years."
When it comes to his approach to dating, Jordan says he believes in karma. "I have a sister. I never really wanted to do females wrong. Can't act like that," he says.
"So, you don't want to treat any woman any differently than you'd want a man to treat your sister," Oprah says.
"One hundred and ten percent," Jordan answers.
"That should be the rule for all men," Oprah says. "Michael B. Jordan's rules!"
