Unwinding Money and Emotions for Widows

Since money and emotions seem inextricably connected for women, let alone widows, I offer some valuable tips in my book, My Husband Died, Now What? A Widow's Guide to Grief Recovery and Smart Financial Decisions , on how to navigate through fears so that you can begin to organize your finances. I give step-by-step guidance on how to bring the first semblances of "order" to what surely feels like a world of disarray, once a wife becomes a widow.

When emotions are high, intellect is low. This known fact can provide relief from the self-flagellation that many widows fall into because they feel overwhelmed, often exclaiming, "I just can't get it."

Widows can "get it" and they are "getting it" every single day, every hour. Yet the path forward is much easier with a roadmap to follow, and a helping hand.

I utilize my confluence of financial and grief recovery expertise to do just that. I write and speak in English, not financese, using every day analogies that are easily understood by non-financial folks.
